Inverness B & B Accommodation - Luxury ensuite guest rooms
Hotel Review Scotland:
"This is a lovely small country house and guests soon feel quite at home. The owners are hospitable and caring. The food is simply delicious and among the best of its style we have experienced. Everything is spotless and shining. This is exactly the kind of place that we are happy to recommend to you - somewhere where expectations are, we feel, regularly exceeded. A happy escape in the Highlands, and yet close to Inverness. Real quality." Click here to read the full review.
For 20 years now, Alex and Margaret Hutcheson have been welcoming guests to stay in their home by providing Bed and Breakfast accommodation, described in guide books as a 'warm and friendly home'.
Although we have moved to a new house, we look forward to welcoming visitors just as before.
The Lodge is situated amidst 80 acres of pastureland where you can view suckler cows with calves, sheep and our daughter Rachel's Welsh pony Seamus.
The house and accommodation has been designed with high ceilings and spacious public rooms furnished with big comfortable sofas so you can relax amongst elegant furniture and original art works.
Situated just 5 miles south of Inverness - B&B at The Lodge offers choice with 7 ensuite guest rooms - all with countryside views, an ideal location for Highlands sightseeing.
We enjoy many recommendations and are featured in the Good Food of Scotland Guide 2005, The Hidden Places of Scotland, Fodor, etc. We also have a loyal customer base who return to stay with us again and again to sample our Highland hospitality, good food and quality accommodation.
A reader's comment from 'Staying off the Beaten Track in Scotland': 'Highly recommended; bedrooms are very pretty and spotlessly clean.
Named after local rivers, our seven guest bedrooms are each attractively co-ordinated with comfy furnishings. We have 4 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and 1 single room. All rooms are ensuite, with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV & VCR, and direct dial telephones with Internet/E-mail access.

'We stayed in the Ness Room. The contemporary leather headboard of the bed matched twin armchairs; a generous hospitality tray sat out (a small fridge on the landing offers cool jugs of fresh milk, a nice idea); the bathroom – like all in the house – offered a true power shower, Gilchrist & Soames ‘Spa’ toiletries, big white towels and controllable heating. Everything was immaculate and there was no doubting the pride of the owners in the little details.'
The master bedroom has a 4 poster bed and a large bay window, plus the original Victorian bathroom which has come with us from our former house.
This room is particularly suited for romantic breaks and honeymoons.
The Findhorn room is a very spacious twin.
Situated on the ground floor with ramp access, it's ideal
accommodation for wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties.
Careful design consideration ensures your comfort with all switches and
appliances at height to suit. There is a wheel-in double-size shower.
(All public rooms have door widths suitable for wheelchair access.)
Please note that we are a non-smoking establishment.
Guests who wish to smoke must do so beyond the garden area.
Our B&B accommodation has been awarded
